The kingdom gates opened and Tamara and her soldiers galloped in , the peasents gathered around and bowed there heads for the beautiful maiden and her entourage .She smiled at the peasents and she headed for her the palace .
She got off her horse and ran inside to the placa where the king had jsut finished his court for the day and was about to leave for his evening walk.She ran upto him and hugged him and said"

Mystic Prologue
Once upon a time in land far far away there lived a man no a beast... he was beastly man. Locked up in the Tower of Light on the far end of the City Farloene , he lived all alone in the tower.
The Beast was a magician but people called him a sorcerer a demented son of the devil.He was all alone , people changed lanes when he walked the street , chiller's threw stones at him, some were terrified of his horried face others jsut hated the fact that this beast tried to mingle with them on the strrets in the market or just near the park where he often went.
The Beast lived in his Tower with no one else but his faithful Simplia , a funny name for a wildly ferocious yet beautiful and white as snow dog. The dog guarded both the Tower and its only occupant.
His tower had a series of rooms , it had a small kitchen where he seldomly cooked food for himself, a study where the Beast spend most of his time reading , there he read about mystical fairies , die hard romantics and stories filled with hope and love, stories which helped him fade away into his dreams of a new future in a new land where people loved him where he had friends , where he was wanted , where children played with him instead of hitting him , where people laughed with him and not on him....
There was a room with a window where he had a bed and a lone lamp which burned day in day out...The window in the room had a telescope from where the Beast looked to the park where he could see birds playing in the pond , the children playing cricket, the lovers sitting on the benches and talking sweet nothing into eachothers ears...how he longed to be one of them .. he wished to romance a woman who would be kind and gentle and full of life... who saw beyond his ugliness and beyond his body and saw his soul..for which was the only pure thing he had...
The Beast was a poet and he wrote sonnets about only love, for that was the only thing he believed in, in his mind he was a Italian Lover or a Spanish Gaucho whom the women loved and wanted... He hated mirrors and never had a single one in his tower...
He ate in a ceramic bowl for he hated to even see his glimplse in the metal plates...
The only thing he loved was the midnight moonlight that fell on his body more than his boy it fell on his soul...pilfering into his heart and filling the emptiness of his soul...

Chapter 1
The Beast spend all his days and night locked up in his study reading and writing stories.He had read all the books in his study several imes and most of them over the years had become dog eared and some of the pages were getting loose.He really had no other thing to do. He spent his nights on the roof , the roof was his only solace where he sat in the corner cuddled up and cried his eyes out, but, for the people of Farleone the cries from a distant sounded like chants which they believed the Beast was chanting to evoke evil spirits.
He cried almost every night, but he did not cry for his ugliness nor for his loneliness he cried for the only woman he ever loved . The woman was Princess Tamara , the one woman he loved and cared about in the whole world. She was long gone to the heavenly abode, she died in his arms.
It is said the Beast was once a Prince , he was Prince Ivan the hier to the throne of Farleone, the Prince was a noble man he was kind hearted and loved everyone , he was a great warrior who had killed many Turk generals in the Holy War.
On one such exepdition the Prince along with his army reached the ancient city Camaleone , the city was very beautiful, it had snow white mountains huge water falls and red maple trees.
Camaleone was ruled by a king who had great powers , he was a sorceror and the protector of the Book of Solomon.He welcomed the great prince to his castle where he was to be his royal guest.The king knew that he was an eligible bachelor whom many maidens wanted to marry, but he wanted his daughter Tamara to marry him.She would have a nice home and the king would be related to the Valarous prince Ivan and the Turks would not attack his city.
He welcomed the prince with lot of fanfare and honoured him by presenting him the Key to the City.In the evening he organized a Grand Ball in his honour.The king thought to himself "if everything goes well! I shall ask Prince Ivan to marry Tamara."
His only hjope was that Tamara would return in time for the ball.He send his messenger to where she had gone hunting with her friends.
Tamara on the other hand had no intentions of coming early as she had just spotted a Giant Lion which would be a great add to her collection.She was a hunter first and a princess later.It was in her blood , her great grandfather was known to have slain 1000 lions.
Tamara received the message and she could not disobey her father and so she hurried up her attack on the Lion.But, it was not easy as this creature was very cunning and he had gone into hiding deep into the forest where she could not find him easily.

She left her horse with the guards , she thought to herself "If i have to do it I'll have to do it myself, no need for the guards and the drum beaters..." .She ventured into the deep end of the forest and took out her bow and arrow which was gifted to her by Artemis the goddess of hunting for killing the Dragon of Athena who tried to enter the Holy Temple of Artemis.
She was now inside the forest , she could hear the lion but where was it... she walked further into the forest and there she saw a cave from where she heard sounds, maybe it was the lion or just fruit bats... but she went in, the cave was dark and smelled of decaying bodies and misty algae which had grown on the walls, the ground was wet and it seemed as if sunlight had never entered the cave. She inched further , her heart racing she could feel something tingling on her leg she instinctively shook it off and lead out a little shriek ... it was just a spider , what a relief.
Tamara thought to herself that "maybe I should get out of the cave and head home I can kill the lion any other time" .
She turned and started walking towards the caves mouth , but just as she turned a python fell on her and entangled her , he moved on her body like silk and slowly strengthened his grip around her body...her heart raced fast but the python tightened his grip on her , she could barely move , the bow and arrow fell out of her hand , she tried desperately to loosen him , but he was strong and the floor was slippery and she could'nt stand anymore che fell down on the ground. The python;s head came over hers and he opened his mouth , she could see his razor sharp teeth .She knew that this was her end and she prayed to god to free her , she was loosing consciousness and she was turning blue, she was sweating heavily, her body fell numb and just when she was about to loose all senses and slip into hands of death
then from the edge of cave came a light so bright that it made the bats screamed in a high pitch which startled the python and from the light came an arrow which pierced the python into two and it fell on the ground and Tamara could finally breathe, but she was weak and could not get up , she was covered with blood and her heart was panting loudly , the light came closer to her and out from the light came Artemis her mother goddess , Artemis heard the cries of her arktoi who served her in the temple of Epehsus for any years, Arktois were little she-bears who were made to serve Artemis in her temple and in return they were blesses with a healthy womb for their offspring's, Tamara was closest to Artemis who loved her like her daughter...
She kissed her child and Tamara regained consciousness , "Thank you oh! mother " siad Tamara , Artemis smiled and said"You should not venture alone in this side of the forest , especially now when Aries is looking for his bride, he might hurt you and I of all will not like you to be a forced bride of Aries". Saying this Artemis disappeared and Tamara returned to her Caravan and changed into fresh clothes , her
friend and maid-servant Sophia asked her "So where's the lion Tamara? , You look as if you were in his belly!!"
Tamara laughed and said "shouldn't we be heading home aren't we already late for the ball." Saying this she and her maidens along with the guards galloped towards their kingdom.
